Meetup Groups meet face-to-face to pursue hobbies, network, get support, make friends, find playgroups or even change the world!

You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
As organizer I want to move the group in whatever direction will make it the most viable. That said, my ideal meetup would be a wide ranging discussion in which we history buffs share our knowledge of different fields of history.
The woman suffrage movement and the civil rights movement are probably my top areas of interest--but I find a lot of other areas interesting as well. If you are interested in talking about an area of history, most likely I'll be glad to listen!
“ Mei is a very gracious hostess and a terrific organizer. Whether you know a lot about tea or a little, Mei is a great person to help you learn more and appreciate more. This group is a great opportunity for tea lovers in NY. ”

“ Nate, just a little bit more-In theCooperUnion Address(Feb1860
)Lincoln refuted southern claims that the acceptance of slavery in the Constitution showed that the framers believed the fed'l gov't had no right to prohibit slavery. In the Address Lincoln showed that a majority of the 39 signers of the Consitution, thru their votes on various slavery-related
bills, believed that the fed'l gov't had every right to prohibit slavery in the territories(whi
ch was of course the main Republican position.) ”
