Dobbs Ferry--Village Commemoration of Washington's March

Busses will leave from Mead House--12 Elm Street, Dobbs Ferry for the start of the walk. The buses will leave at 12:20 and 12: 40...we'll look to catch the 12:20 bus....so please arrive at 12:15 sharp. ...

But failing that, catch the 12:40 bus and join us for the walk....

Or failing that, be at the corner of Ashford and Southfield Avenues at 1:00 p.m. and join in the Walk ...

(I believe the Walk will be about 1 mile.)

Or failing that join us for the program afterwards (2:00 p.m.) at the Mead House--there will be music, speeches, a skit and *refreshments*.

If it rains, the Walk is still on, but the program will be at the Embassy Club--60 Palisade Street, Dobbs Ferry.

*PARKING*...there is a municipal lot near the Mead House (12 Elm Street)...or you can park on the street.

The official title is "The Road to Freedom Walk"...Commemorating the march by Washington's army in 1781 from Westchester to VA for the purpose of besieging Cornwallis at Yorktown. The success of the march and of the siege led to the American victory in our War of Independence.

Our esteemed members Richard and Linda Borkow are organizers of the Road to Freedom Walk. Richard is the Village Historian of Dobbs Ferry.
